The Marai
at
St Faith's Church,
Rotorua
There are plenty of sacred sites called marais all over New Zealand, primarily in the north island as this is where most of the maoris live I suppose.
This one at St Faith's is a magnificent structure that compliments the church and graveyard. It consists of a meeting house and numerous miniature structures built to resemble the meeting house. There is also a bell stand and flag pole here too also carved with tikis.
