Dunedin
Dunedin was our most southern destination. A city build within the surrounding hills it boasts some of the loveliest churches we saw on the trip.
Dunedin is also touted as the Edinburgh of New Zealand. It has a long history of scottish settlers founding what is now a magnificent city.
We came here to see Larnach Castle and the Albatross and Seal Colonies. Well we saw the castle but the colonies were closed by the time we got there.
We stayed there two days so got to pitch the tent and actually have some relaxing time without hastily packing up and moving out again. We even tried to throw Ellie out of the van into a mud puddle.
And as jb said, we recommend the spa.
Our campsite ... Isn't this cosy.
Isn't it amazing where a Qld flag will turn up. ..... How rude throwing an Ellie from the van.
